LACOE, Lynwood USD and El Segundo USD are offering professional development opportunities for AI Literacy Day.
National AI Literacy Day seeks to foster AI literacy and demonstrate the power of education in understanding and leveraging technology. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of shaping the future of AI education!
LACOE is joining the nationwide day of action on April 19 by offering a professional development training session from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. called "Demystifying AI for K12." Dr. Scott Moss with the Technology Services Department and Sue Thoz with Common Sense Media will focus on practical lessons aimed at teaching students the critical thinking skills necessary to understand AI and its implications. The emphasis will be on explaining how AI functions and exploring its potential advantages and risks. Register for LACOE's session here.
Additionally, Dr. Melissa Moore, El Segundo Unified School District’s Superintendent and Dr. Patrick Gittisriboongul, Lynwood Unified School District’s Assistant Superintendent, are presenting at a Digital Promise event.
