We want to thank our incredible LACOE staff for their help in the relocation and adjustment of our schools and programs at Central and Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Halls to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall in Downey. 

In July, the LA County Probation Department moved nearly 300 pre-disposition youth to the Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall.  

While LACOE facilities and technology staff focused on preparing the facility, LACOE education staff concentrated on providing instruction, enrichment, and intervention programs. Those programs were set up quickly, including a program with the Arts Commission to send artists to work with students at Los Padrinos.  

Together, LACOE staff from across multiple departments supported our youth as they transitioned. Despite some very challenging situations, LACOE staff were there for students. Thank you for everything you do on behalf of our students.
