The Los Angeles County Science Olympiad is your gateway to high-energy, brain-bending team competition for students in grades 4 through 12! Gather your crew, put your STEM skills to the test, and compete in a variety of thrilling events—winners move on to the Southern California State Science Olympiad, and the top middle and high school team get their shot at the National Science Olympiad.

Science Olympiad is more than a competition—it's a global movement dedicated to boosting the quality of science, technology, engineering, and math education. Southern California Science Olympiad is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which is run entirely by volunteers. We're always looking for people to help us with test writing and judging on tournament day. Most colleges and universities in Southern California also have alumni chapters that are focused on specific efforts.
