The EdTech and Innovation unit, under the Technology Learning and Support Services department, is dedicated to transforming teaching and learning through the strategic integration of technology. Our team of experts collaborates with school districts across Los Angeles County, providing comprehensive support in areas like professional development, technology implementation, and curriculum enhancement.


We empower educators and administrators with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to leverage emerging technologies, create engaging learning experiences, and prepare students for success in the digital age. From researching and piloting innovative EdTech solutions to designing comprehensive training programs, our unit is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in education.

The EdTech and Innovation Unit is focused on supporting you as you engage with technology in the classroom. We strive to provide the necessary support and understanding to implement technology into your lessons. We offer professional development in three ways: in-person, synchronously online, and asynchronously on Canvas.

eLibrary Services is the library unit for Los Angeles County Office of Education. K-12 educators, librarians, and administrators throughout Los Angeles County have access to our Educator Library, a rich and robust digital collection of ebooks and audiobooks. 

Our Librarian of Record services program supports and improves school library programs and enables contracting districts to meet the requirements of California Education Code. Contact els@lacoe.edu for more information.

All L.A. County K-12 educators and administrators are eligible for an eLibrary Services Card. An educational email address is required.

Multimedia Services is your trusted partner in enriching education through digital resources. We are a contract-based service providing an extensive array of high-quality multimedia resources via CaliforniaStreaming to both public and private schools. Multimedia Services aids in creating a dynamic learning environment, where abstract concepts are made tangible through visual and auditory digital aids, enhancing students' understanding and retention of information.

Our multimedia resources span a wide range of content types, including licensed video, audio, images, and print. All of our resources are carefully evaluated by educators, ensuring they are not only relevant and effective but also aligned to the California State Content Standards. When you access content through CaliforniaStreaming, you can trust that all titles are appropriately licensed and copyright-compliant. Beyond licensed content, we offer access to a curated and growing collection of safe and vetted open K-12 resources, including CK-12, CommonLit, DocsTeach, Smithsonian Learning Lab, and more…including a partnership with databases licensed by the California State Library.

The Personal Computing Support (PCS) team supports the computing needs of students and staff at LACOE education sites across Los Angeles County. To reduce travel delays, the PCS team dispatches technicians from the Downey Integration Lab, Downey local site and regional base remote school sites. These individuals are able to resolve hardware and software issues related to PC, Macintosh, tablets, smart boards, projectors, and smartphones. Software services range from Break / Fix to Custom Solution Design / Deployment.

LACOE's Help Desk is your first point of contact with any computer related issue, including hardware, software, internet connection, servers, etc. You can send an email with a detailed description of your needs to HelpDesk@lacoe.edu or pick up the telephone and call them directly at (562) 922-6646.

The TS Help Desk operates 24 hours a day providing customers with advice, guidance, and rapid restoration of services. Our team of highly skilled engineers will be there to create the correct trouble ticket and get you up and running in the quickest time possible.

The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is dedicated to empowering educators with innovative tools that inspire and engage students. Our podcasting workshops are designed to transform teaching strategies by incorporating podcasting into the classroom experience. Whether you’re a beginner exploring the basics or an experienced educator looking to take your skills to the next level, our sessions are tailored to meet your needs. These hands-on workshops provide the tools and techniques to create and produce podcasts that captivate students, promote active learning and cater to diverse learning styles. No matter where you are in your podcasting journey, LACOE’s training programs offer everything you need to bring the power of podcasting to your classroom.

  • Software:
    Soundtrap, Garage Band
    For schools that do not have licenses for Soundtrap we can help set up free 30-day trials.  
  • Microphone & Headphones:
    Any should be ok.
