Climate change disproportionately impacts communities of color as well as low-income rural and urban communities. We believe the education sector can advance climate action and be a leader in creating a more sustainable society.

Schools can take action to reduce their environmental footprints, adapt to climate impacts and advance equity while educating the next generation of climate leaders. LACOE's Green Schools Initiative is focused on supporting positive environmental actions both inside LACOE and for the 80 school districts in LA County.
