LACOE CTO Receives the 2024 Candice Dodson Influencer Award

The Los Angeles County Office of Education’s Chief Technology Officer José González has been named the recipient of the 2024 Candice Dodson Influencer Award by SETDA, the leading association for U.S. state and territorial educational technology leaders. González was honored at the 2024 SETDA Leadership Summit in Arlington, VA.
The Candice Dodson Influencer Award is a prestigious recognition that celebrates the enduring values, leadership and advocacy in educational technology that Candice Dodson exemplified throughout her career. The award honors edtech leaders who, like Dodson, are committed to advancing equity, collaboration and innovation in education.
The award recognizes LACOE’s programs that enhance digital literacy, expand internet access and provide educators and students with the tools needed to thrive in the 21st century. This includes community involvement, partnering with parents, guardians and local organizations to create a holistic, tech-enabled learning environment that extends beyond the classroom.
