Educators of infants and toddlers attended the two-day event to connect, collaborate and participate in insightful workshops.

On February 7 and 8, 2025, LACOE’s Head Start and Early Learning division hosted the Early Head Start (EHS) Institute. The event, themed "Tiny Steps, Big Impact: Shaping the Future of Infants & Toddlers," brought together educators and experts in early childhood education for two days of insightful discussions and practical strategies.

The institute featured a series of engaging sessions that focused on the latest research and best practices in early childhood education. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from field experts, explore model classrooms and participate in interactive workshops designed to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Over 250 attendees connected with colleagues, shared experiences and discussed challenges and solutions in the field of early childhood education.

“Despite the rain, early educators came out and dedicated their Friday and Saturday to engaging with our esteemed presenters and enriching their practices for educating our County’s youngest learners. Their dedication and passion will have a lasting impact on our school communities and families,” said Luis Bautista, executive director of LACOE’s Head Start and Early Learning Division.
